Camera Tools 2.0 and Live Streamer 2.0 are now available on all platforms.

Camera Tools updates

  • The Camera Tools app is now also available for Linux (both x64 and arm64 appimage packages) and Chrome OS (in Google Play).
  • Multi-camera live preview grid (similar to a video surveillance grid).
  • Improved camera connection reliability.
  • Live status updates on the iOS and Android lock screen and status bar.
  • Built-in media players (including 360° players).
  • Modernization of the app user interface.
  • Many small improvements and bug fixes.


Live Streamer updates

  • Support for COHN connected camera live streams.

The goWatch app, an app for controlling GoPro cameras directly from the Apple Watch has been updated today. The update brings support for the GoPro Mission 1 Pro cameras, support for presets, trigger countdown, watch faces support. Also the app runs now much smoother (no more “Connecting…” message when the app comes back from background).

I have released a big Cartogaph Maps update (available on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows):

  • Cartograph Map licenses are shared between all devices (a single license activates all installations).
  • Data synchronization between devices (cloud sync service).
  • The routing engine has been completely rewritten and now actually works.
  • Track drawing has been significantly improved (undo/redo, point selection).
  • Rework of the user interface.
  • Rework of the GPS, Bluetooth, and live background tracking functions which now work much more reliable.
  • Rework of the map painting engine (faster, less battery usage, more stable).
  • Many small bug fixes and improvements.

Webcam Tool 4.0 is now available for download. I have reworked the app from scratch:

  • New Windows Media Foundation driver.
  • Completely re-worked DirectShow and macOS webcam drivers.
  • New app design.
  • Custom naming of webcams.
  • Hardware acceleration.
  • Many small improvements and bug fixes.

The GoPro Max 2 camera also works with the Live Streamer and Webcam Tool apps.

The Camera Tools app for GoPro cameras now supports the GoPro COHN feature. COHN allows you to connect your GoPro Hero 12 and 13 camera to an existing Wi-Fi network.
