Microsoft Hyperlapse experiments

Microsoft released a beta version of the Hyperlapse app (download here). Microsoft Hyperlapse speeds up video and stabilizes the video at the same time by calculating a path along video frames.

The algorithm is described in this paper (download here). The app is especially intended for action camera videos (like GoPro Hero cameras).

Checkout our YouTube playlist with some sample hyperlapse videos (use full HD with 60fps for the best quality – unfortunately the video quality is degraded due to YouTube compression).
